Applications
Used as a protected amino acid building block in Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) for incorporating homocysteine residues. The acid-labile trityl (Trt) side-chain protecting group remains stable during routine Fmoc deprotection steps and is cleaved using standard trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) cleavage cocktails.
