Applications
The standard orthogonally protected lysine derivative used in Fmoc Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS). The base-labile Fmoc group on the alpha-amine allows selective chain extension using piperidine, while the acid-labile Boc group on the epsilon-amino side chain remains stable during synthesis and is cleaved simultaneously with the resin bond during final trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) treatment.
