Product Overview

Fmoc-L-Lys(Boc, iPr)-OH CAS: 201003-48-7

Applications

Used as a specialized modified amino acid derivative in Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) to directly introduce N-epsilon-isopropyl-lysine [Lys(iPr)] residues into peptide chains. The acid-labile Boc group and isopropyl group protect the side-chain amine, allowing controlled assembly of peptidomimetics and peptide drugs (such as GnRH antagonists). The Boc group is subsequently cleaved under standard trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) cleavage conditions to yield the free isopropylated lysine residue.
