Applications
Used as a orthogonally protected amino acid derivative in Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS). The Dde protecting group on the side-chain amine is stable to standard piperidine (Fmoc removal) and TFA cleavage conditions, but can be selectively cleaved using hydrazine, making it ideal for synthesizing cyclic peptides and branched peptide structures.
